"We don't have a liquor licence; we can't tell you why. "

Just bought a ticket to see a movie at Palace Centro and ordered a glass of wine to have before going in.

The reply: "We don't have a liquor licence; we can't tell you why."

"Uh… okay."

There was probably a politer way to tell me that, but the girl at the counter seemed to be sick of telling people.

What happened, Palace Cinemas?
